There are three kinds of membership in the Alabama Council on Crime and Deliquency:  Active, Honorary and Life.

Active membership is open to all persons who are professionally engaged in the field of corrections, in work related to corrections, and persons having an active interest in this field.

Active members pay annual dues.

Honorary membership shall be on a life basis and such members shall not pay dues.  Honorary membership may be extended by invitation after nomination by the Executive Committee and

majority vote of association members present and voting at the annual meeting.

Life Membership shall be conferred upon those members who have been active, dues-paying members for at least five years preceding retirement.   Life membership is conferred by majority vote of association members present and voting at the annual meeting. Life members do not pay dues.
